Water Treatment Industry Grade Ferric Anhydrous Chloride Black Powder 98% Fe Chloride
Ferric chloride, with the chemical formula of FeCl3, is a dark brown crystal (also in the form of flakes). It is easily deliquescent in moist air and easily hydrolyzed in a solution with low acidity to form ferric hydroxide colloid. When dissolved in water, it releases a lot of heat to form a coffee-colored or brown-yellow acidic solution, from which ferric chloride hexahydrate with crystal water can be precipitated.
Anhydrous ferric chloride is a very strong Lewis acid and is used as a catalyst in organic synthesis.

1. Mainly used for metal etching and sewage treatment. Etching includes etching of copper, stainless steel, aluminum and other materials.
2. It has the advantages of good effect and low price for the treatment of low oil content raw water, but it brings the disadvantage of yellowing water color.
3. It is also used for printing and dyeing roller engraving, electronic industry circuit board and fluorescent digital tube production, etc.
The construction industry is used to prepare concrete to enhance the strength, corrosion resistance and waterproofness of concrete.
4. It can also be prepared with ferrous chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, aluminum sulfate, hydrochloric acid, etc. to make concrete waterproofing agent.
5. The inorganic industry is used to manufacture other iron salts and inks. The dye industry is used as an oxidant for dyeing with indicin dye.
6. The printing and dyeing industry is used as a mordant.
7. The metallurgical industry is used as a chlorination extractor for extracting gold and silver.
8. The organic industry is used as a catalyst, oxidant and chlorinating agent.
9. The glass industry is used as a hot colorant for glassware.
10. The soap industry is used as a coagulant for recovering glycerol from soap waste liquid.
11. Another important use of ferric chloride is hardware etching, etching products such as: eyeglass frames, clocks, electronic components, signs and nameplates.
