Ferric chloride anhydrous 7705-08-0 is a black-brown water soluble solid, ferric chloride anhydrous is mainly used for the engraving etching of electronic circuit board or purifies drink water and treats waste water. Ferric Chloride is also used to make other iron salts, oxidant, catalyst, mordant and ink. Anhydrous ferric chloride has strong hygroscopicity and can generate dihydrate and hexahydrate. It is easily soluble in water, ethanol, and also soluble in liquid sulfur dioxide, and aniline. Insoluble in glycerin and phosphorus trichloride. The aqueous solution is acidic.
