Ammonium Sulfate Crystals 21% Nitrogen Ammonium Sulphate Fertilize
The chemical formula of ammonium sulfate is (NH4)2SO4. Ammonium sulfate is colorless crystals or white particles. The aqueous solution is acidic and insoluble in ethanol. The relative molecular mass of ammonium sulfate is 132.14. The pure ammonium sulfate is colorless orthorhombic crystal, and the industrial product is white to light yellow crystal. It is hygroscopic and solidifies into lumps after absorbing moisture. Ammonium sulfate is relatively stable at room temperature. When the temperature is high, it can decompose ammonia, and when heated to 280 degrees Celsius, it decomposes violently. When heated to above 513℃, it is completely decomposed into ammonia, nitrogen, sulfur dioxide and water. When it reacts with alkalis, it releases ammonia gas. It reacts with barium chloride solution to form barium sulfate precipitate. Proteins can also be salted out.

1. Ammonium sulfate is mainly used as fertilizer and is suitable for various soils and crops.
2. Ammonium sulfate is used in textile, leather, medicine, etc.
3. Edible ammonium sulfate is prepared by adding industrial ammonium sulfate into distilled water to dissolve, adding arsenic and heavy metal removal agents to purify the solution, filter, evaporate and concentrate, crystallize by cooling, centrifuge and dry.
4. Mining rare earths uses ammonium sulfate as raw material, and uses ion exchange to exchange rare earth elements in the ore.
