2. Applications In Oil Recovery:
Polyacrylamide is a kind of multifunctional oilfield chemical treatment agent, which is widely used in the process of drilling, cementing, completion, workover, fracturing, acidification, water injection, water plugging and profile control, tertiary oil recovery, especially in the field of drilling, water plugging and tertiary oil recovery. Polyacrylamide aqueous solution has high viscosity, good thickening, flocculation and rheological regulation, and is used as oil displacement agent and drilling mud regulator in oil exploitation.
3. Paper Making:
Polyacrylamide is widely used in the field of paper making as retention agent, filter aid, levelling agent, etc., to improve the quality of paper, slurry dehydration performance, fine fiber and filler retention, reduce raw material consumption and environmental pollution, as a dispersant, can improve the uniformity of paper. Polyacrylamide is mainly used in the paper industry in two aspects, one is to improve the retention of fillers, pigments, etc., to reduce the loss of raw materials and environmental pollution; The second is to improve the strength of the paper.

The use of polyacrylamide should follow the following principles:
1. Granular polyacrylamide flocculant can not be directly added to the sewage. It must be dissolved in water before use, and its aqueous solution is used to treat sewage.
2. The water that dissolves granular polymers should be clean (such as tap water), not sewage. Normal temperature water can be, generally do not need to warm. Water temperature below 5℃ dissolves very slowly. The water temperature increases the dissolution rate, but more than 40℃ will accelerate the degradation of the polymer, affecting the use effect. General tap water is suitable for preparation of polymer solutions. Strong acid, strong alkali, high salt water is not suitable for preparation.
3. The choice of polymer solution concentration, it is recommended to be 0.1%-0.3%, that is, 1 liter of water to add 1g-3g polymer powder.
