Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear polymer with the chemical formula (C3H5NO)n. It has a strong degree of polymerization and water solubility, molecular weight between 600-2000 (million), can quickly through the adsorption of solid particles suspended in water, so that the bridge between the particles quickly condensed to form a large flocculant, easy to filter and separate, so as to promote the filtration of sewage, anionic polyacrylamide insoluble in organic solvents, easily soluble in water.
Polyacrylamide is an important water-soluble polymer, and has flocculation, thickening, shear resistance, resistance reduction, dispersion and other valuable properties.
