Sodium carbonate is easily soluble in water and glycerol, slightly soluble in anhydrous ethanol, and insoluble in propanol. It has the general properties of salt and is an inorganic salt. It absorbs moisture and clumps in humid air, and part of it turns into sodium bicarbonate.
